Krista Vermillion
Division Manager

Krista has over 20 years of clinical research experience with a high level of expertise in GCP guidelines, grant writing/timelines, team training/webinar creation and industry/NIH sponsored multi-site trials.  She began her career at Johns Hopkins University and served as a Research Project Coordinator, Research Site Manager and Research Project Manager before coming to Vanderbilt to serve as the VCC IIT Division Manager.  She believes in making projects fun and always encourages a culture of professional joy within her team.  One of her main philosophies is that any project is better if the people that are working on it love what they do.  She is especially interested in study team training and the impact that it has on the success of a clinical trial.

Krista has an MS in Health Communications from Johns Hopkins University, Master Project Manager (MPM) certification and Clinical Research Professional certification (CCRP).  She is always thrilled to hear from colleagues, managers, people who love project management, those who think there is nothing more thrilling than recruiting for a trial or just interesting, creative folks. She encourages all to connect!
