Sheri Dixon
Senior Clinical Research Navigator

Sheri L. Dixon, BSN, RN, CCRP is a Research Projects Manager at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) where she has been involved in research since 1998 (18 years and counting). Initially she was member and manager of the Stem Cell Transplant and Hematology Research Team. During that time she assisted with investigator initiated protocol writing including the first umbilical cord blood transplants in adults here at Vanderbilt. She serves as project manager for clinical research studies, including but not limited to management of sponsored, physician initiated and federal funded clinical trial start-up and logistics, clinical study budget development; assisting in the development of recruitment plans; monitors quality assurance standards, policy and procedure implementation within the Clinical Trials Center. She has vast experience with protocol development and knowledge of the FDA requirements surrounding a clinical trial. Her passion is assisting Vanderbilt staff and students in learning about research, project development and navigating thru the expansive Vanderbilt Research Enterprise.
Outside of Vanderbilt Sheri is a Member of the South Cheatham Choral Society, Chairperson of the Missions and Outreach Committee at her church where she also sings in the choir. She loves to cook for her family, friends and homeless members of our community thru Room at the Inn.
